Once you’re set up to work at multiple locations, every appointment can be tied to the right studio — so the correct name and address show up on confirmations, reminders, and your calendar. Here’s how location works at each point in the booking flow.
📅 Scheduling at a specific location
When you create an appointment from the Porter mobile app, you can choose which of your studios it belongs to.
Tap the ➕ icon on the calendar page and choose Schedule Appointment.
Fill in the client and appointment details as usual.
Select the location for the appointment — your default location is selected automatically, and you can switch to any other studio you work at.
Review and tap “Schedule” to lock it in.

✅ Setting the location when you accept a request
When you accept a booking request, you can set which studio the appointment will take place at as you finalize the details.
You’ll see the location option in the accept flow, alongside sessions, quote, and deposit.
Pick the studio that fits, then send the request through to your client.
⚠️ You can set the location here only when the appointment is currently booked at an independent location — a studio you run yourself, rather than a shop managed by someone else.
💡 If your subscription needs attention to keep booking at that location, Porter will prompt you to resubscribe right at the end, when you submit.
✏️ Changing the location on an existing appointment
Already scheduled something and need to move it to a different studio?
Open the appointment and tap “Edit.”
Choose a new location — you can pick from any of the studios you’re tied to.
Save your changes. The updated name and address will flow through to the client automatically.
⚠️ Heads up: Editing the location is available only when the appointment is currently booked at an independent location (one you run yourself, not a shop managed by someone else). If it’s booked at a managed shop, the shop controls that booking.
That’s it! Wherever you’re working that day, Porter keeps the location straight for you and your clients.
