Setup guest spots

Manage bookings when you're working at a guest spot or traveling for a convention

Updated over a month ago

Porter makes it easy to manage bookings when you're working at a guest spot or traveling for a convention. By adding a guest spot, Porter will automatically update your booking flow to reflect where you’ll be and when — so clients only see the right dates and locations when scheduling.

🌍 How Guest Spots Work

Once you’ve scheduled a guest spot:

  • Clients booking you through your intake form will be asked which location they want to schedule with — your primary location or one of your guest spots

  • The intake form will show the studio/location name, city, and the dates you’re available

  • Porter will automatically:

    • Limit booking availability to only the specific days you're at that guest spot

    • Exclude those dates from your availability at your primary location

✏️ How to Add a Guest Spot

  1. Open the Porter mobile app

  2. Go to Profile > Availability > Trips & Guest Spots

  3. Tap “Schedule a Trip”

Step 1: Enter the Location

  • Search for an existing location to autofill the address

  • Or enter it manually:

    • Only City, State, and Zip Code are required

    • For best results, include the studio name and full address

Step 2: Set Trip Dates

  • Select the first and last day you’ll be available for appointments

    • For example, selecting July 14–21 will allow bookings on those exact days and everything in between

Step 3: Set Availability & Timezone

  • Confirm the correct time zone (this should match the city you’re visiting)

  • Set your available hours for each day of the trip

Step 4: Decide If You Want Books Open

  • Turn Books Open ON to allow clients to start booking now

  • If you want to wait before accepting requests, turn Books Open OFF — you can turn it back on later when you’re ready

With Porter’s guest spot tools, managing your calendar across multiple locations is easy — and your clients always see exactly when and where you’re available.
