Accepting multi-session appointment requests

How to accept multi-session appointment requests in Porter

Updated over a month ago

Porter makes it easy to accept appointments that require multiple sessions — like large tattoos or recurring PMU work. When a booking request comes in, and you're ready to accept it, you’ll be able to plan and quote multiple sessions up front.

✅ How to accept a multi-session request

  1. Go to the Your Turn page and click into the request.

  2. Accept the request

  3. You’ll first be asked:
👉 “How many sessions do you want to plan for the tattoo?”
    Select the number of sessions.

  4. On the next screen, you’ll provide a quote:

    • Enter a specific amount, a min–max range, or an hourly rate

    • If you enter a specific amount or range, choose:

      • Apply pricing per appointment, or

      • Split evenly across all appointments

  5. Enter a deposit amount, and choose:

    • Whether it applies to the first appointment or the last appointment

  6. Choose the duration of each individual session

  7. Type your reply message to the client

  8. Review everything, then hit Accept Request

🧠 How it works for the client

Once you accept the request:

  • The client receives a text message with a link to schedule

  • They can schedule 1, some, or all of the sessions you planned (e.g., 1 / 3)

  • The deposit will apply to the appointment you selected (first or last)

🔎 Tracking scheduled vs. unscheduled sessions

  • In the Their Turn tab, you’ll see a badge like 1 / 3 showing how many sessions have been booked so far

  • If not all sessions are booked, we’ll keep the remaining ones open in Their Turn

  • Clients can always return to their booking link to schedule additional sessions later
