Adding and deleting users

Add, edit, and delete artists, service providers, and your shop managers to the Porter platform.

Porter makes it easy to add new team members — and just as easy to remove them when needed. Whether you’re onboarding a new artist or updating your team, this guide walks through everything you need to know.


➕ How to Add a New User

  1. Click your name in the top-right corner, then select Manage Team

  2. Click “Add New” at the top of the page

Enter the following details:

  • Name, Email, and Phone Number

  • Display Name (what they go by — e.g. stage name or first name)

  • Time Zone

  • Booking Link

    • This must be unique across all artists on Porter

    • If you get an error when saving, try a more unique variation

  • Bio (optional — can also be added later by the artist)

  • Calendar Color (optional)


Payee & Role Setup

Next, configure:

  • Payout settings (shop receives funds, artist receives funds, or commission split)

  • Role (Artist, Piercer, Shop Manager, or Shop Booker)

  • Permissions (customize based on their responsibilities)

  • Weekly Hours (optional — but helpful for initial availability setup)


Invite & Onboarding

Once you click Add User, they’ll automatically receive an email invite with:

  • A link to download the Porter mobile app

  • Login instructions

  • A prompt to finish setting up their profile

You can also share:


🗑️ How to Delete a User

  1. From the Manage Team page, find the user

  2. Click “View Employee”

  3. Scroll down and click “Delete”

  4. Confirm the deletion in the pop-up prompt

⚠️ Important: If they have future appointments scheduled, those appointments will be lost. Be sure to reschedule them with another artist before deleting if needed.


What Happens After Deleting a User

  • You’ll still have access to:

    • All past appointments and financial reports

    • All of their clients, visible from the shop account

  • Deleted users lose access to shop-level customer data

  • If they subscribe to Porter independently, they’ll retain access to their personal clients and booking link
