Canceling an appointment in Porter is quick and easy — and you’ll have full control over what happens to the deposit.
📱 From the Mobile App
Open the Porter mobile app
Find the appointment on your calendar or tap the search icon at the top to look it up
On the appointment details page, tap “Cancel Appointment”
A confirmation screen will appear — tap “Confirm” to finalize the cancellation
✅ Once canceled:
The appointment will remain visible on your calendar, crossed out for reference
If the appointment had a deposit, it will automatically remain in the client’s account as credit
Deposits are never refunded automatically — if you want to refund it, you’ll need to do that manually. See: How to issue a refund.

Click into the appointment from your calendar
In the sidebar, click the “Cancel” button
If the appointment has a deposit, you’ll be prompted to choose how to handle it:
💳 Credit — leave the deposit in the client’s account for future use
💸 Refund — return the deposit back to the client’s card
🚫 Forfeit — mark the deposit as used; client loses access to it
