📲 How to Checkout from the Porter Mobile App
Tap the Checkout tab to view your recently completed appointments.
Tap into an appointment you'd like to check out.
Enter the final price you want to charge for the appointment.
Tap Next to choose a payment method.
On the review screen, you can:
Add retail items ➜ Learn how to add retail items →
Apply discounts ➜ How to create & apply discounts →
Add a tip (for cash or gift card checkouts)
Select your payment method and complete the checkout by either initiating or recording the payment.
💻 How to Checkout from app.getporter.io
Click on the appointment from the Calendar view.
Hit the Checkout button.
Update the appointment price, add retail items, and apply any discounts.
Choose your payment method.
Finalize the payment by initiating or recording it.
Important:
Only use the Checkout tab in the main menu of app.getporter.io for retail-only sales.
If you're checking out an actual appointment, always start from the calendar by selecting the appointment directly.
🔁 Walk-ins & Manual Checkouts
If you’re checking out a walk-in who doesn’t have a pre-scheduled appointment:
First, create a new appointment by selecting New Walk-in
Then, proceed to checkout from that appointment to ensure proper commissions and payouts are tracked
By checking out every appointment — even if no money is exchanged — you keep your shop’s data clean, trigger follow-ups, and ensure all artists get paid correctly. It’s a small habit that makes a big difference.
