Add retail items to a checkout

Once you’ve set up your item library, Porter makes it easy to add retail products — like aftercare, jewelry, or merch — directly to any checkout.


🛍️ How to Add Retail Items to Checkout

Whether you're using the Porter mobile app or app.getporter.io:

  1. Go to the checkout screen

  2. Look for the "Add Item" box in the checkout summary

  3. Start typing to search for an existing item from your item library

    • You can also enter a custom item name and price if the item isn’t pre-saved

  4. Once added, you can manually adjust the price of the item if needed


💡 Important Notes

  • Retail items and custom line items should only be used for physical products (like aftercare or merch)

  • For appointment charges, always update the appointment price directly

    This ensures commissions are calculated and paid out correctly
