Add, edit, and delete time blocks

Time blocks in Porter let you block off specific days or times within your regular weekly hours when you're unavailable for appointments.

Whether you're planning a vacation, taking a personal day, or just need a few hours off — time blocks make it easy to prevent clients from booking during that time.


📱 Add a Time Block (Mobile App)

  1. Open the Porter mobile app

  2. Go to Profile > Availability > Day & Time Blocks

  3. Tap “Add Time Block”


📝 Time Block Fields Explained

Name
A title for the time block (e.g. “Vacation,” “Tattoo Convention,” “Travel Day”)

Repeat Options

  • Does not repeat – One-time block

  • Repeats daily – Repeats every X days (e.g., daily for a week)

  • Repeats weekly – Repeats every X weeks on specific days (e.g., every Sunday and Wednesday for 3 months)


⏰ Time Block Types

Non-Repeating Time Block

  • Select “Does not repeat”

  • Choose the date

  • Set a start time and end time, or choose All Day

Daily Repeating Time Block

  • Select “Repeats daily”

  • Choose how often it repeats (e.g. every 1 day)

  • Set the start date and end date

  • Set start/end times, or choose All Day

Weekly Repeating Time Block

  • Select “Repeats weekly”

  • Choose how often it repeats (e.g. every 1 week)

  • Set the start date and end date

  • Choose the days of the week (e.g. every Sunday and Monday)

  • Set start/end times, or choose All Day


🧑‍💼 For Shop Managers (Using app.getporter.io)

  1. Go to the Calendar page

  2. Click “Add New” and select “Time Block”

  3. Fill out the form using the same rules as above

  4. Select one or more service providers to apply the block to

This is perfect for blocking off shop-wide closures, holidays, or scheduled maintenance days.
