Using the Porter Marketing Module

For shop owners/managers who want to send SMS or Email blasts to their customers, simply navigate to the "Marketing" tab on the left-hand side of the browser version of Porter (app.getporter.io).


After clicking into the Marketing module, you can build a new campaign. You'll follow the steps below to build and decide what you want to send:

  1. Select the "New Campaign" button
  2. Name the campaign and decide if you want to send an SMS or an Email campaign
  3. Decide which customers you want to send the campaign to
    1. All Subscribed Customers
    2. Active Customers (appt or request in the last 6 months)
    3. Inactive Customers (no appt or request in the last 6 months)
    4. Highest Spenders (top 20% of your customers by amount spent)
    5. Frequent Visitors (top 20% of your customers by amount of visits)
    6. Customer segment (Create your own list of customers based on the below filters)
      1. Total Spend
      2. Last Appointment Visit
      3. Number of Visits
      4. Is a client for the service (filter between service types the customers have received, i.e. piercing, tattoo, PMU, etc.)
      5. Is on the mailing list for (filter between artists or service providers that the customer has had an appointment with)
  4. Decide when you went to send the campaign (now versus scheduling at a later date)
  5. Design a message
    1. You can use our email editor or text builder to design a message to send to your customers. We recommend being as brief and succinct as possible for best results and including your Porter booking link in the message for easy access!
